# muro.chat

> Live chat hosted in the EU, with AI you control. A live-chat + support inbox you drop on any
> site with one script tag, with a full REST API and a hosted MCP server, so
> your own AI agents can set up the widget, then read, reply to and triage
> conversations, over MCP from anywhere (including mobile / the cloud).

Flat pricing, no per-seat fees. EU-hosted. Bring your own Claude (Anthropic)
key at zero markup, or use the AI credits included in your plan. Everything an
agent can do in the dashboard, it can do over the API + MCP with a scoped key.

## What you get

- Shared inbox: real-time conversations, private notes, statuses (open /
  closed / snoozed), saved replies, search, multi-site triage.
- Embeddable widget: ~9 KB, one async script tag, style-isolated (closed
  Shadow DOM), 12 languages auto-detected, your brand (color / position /
  agent name / avatar / welcome message), pre-chat email capture, knowledge-
  base deflection.
- AI: in-inbox Copilot (summary, sentiment, reply drafts), auto-triage tags,
  conversation summaries. Runs on your own Claude key (BYOK, zero markup) or on
  muro's key against your monthly AI credits.
- Developer surface: full REST API v1 (Bearer keys, read/write scopes, keyset
  pagination, idempotency keys, HMAC-signed webhooks), an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, and
  a hosted MCP server.
- Automation: rules (auto-tag / auto-reply / set status on conditions) and
  saved replies.
- Team & security: unlimited agents (no per-seat), roles, audit log, GDPR
  export & erasure, 2FA, EU hosting.

## Set up a workspace (human or AI agent)

1. Create a site (or list existing ones). Over MCP: `list_sites`. Over REST:
   POST /api/v1 is read-only for conversations; sites are created in the
   dashboard (Sites → add) which returns a `widget_id` (wgt_…).
2. Install the widget. Paste this once, before </head> of the site, replacing
   the widget id:

   On authenticated pages, also call muro('identify',{email,name}) right after
   init so logged-in users skip the email prompt and keep their history.
3. Configure the widget exactly how you want. Over MCP: `update_site` with
   site_id + any of { name, color (hex), position (bottom-right/bottom-left),
   welcome_message, agent_name, reply_time, language }.
4. (Optional) Add automation rules + saved replies via the REST API
   (/api/v1/automation-rules, /api/v1/saved-replies).
5. Turn on AI: paste your own Anthropic key in Settings → AI for unlimited
   zero-markup AI, or use the plan's monthly AI credits.
6. Run the inbox: read and reply to conversations over MCP or REST.

## MCP server (hosted, stateless)

Auth: Authorization: Bearer mr_live_…  (the same scoped API keys as REST).

- list_conversations, list/search conversations (filter by status, full-text).
- get_conversation, one conversation + its recent messages.
- send_reply, reply to the visitor, or add an internal note. (write)
- update_conversation, triage: status, tags, assignee, mark read. (write)
- list_contacts / get_contact, the people who have talked to the workspace.
- list_sites, the installed widgets and their config.
- update_site, configure a widget's name/color/position/welcome/agent/
  reply-time/language. (write)

A full loop: set up the widget (update_site), then find → read → reply → close.
